- Verified customer concern, found that the vehicle had multiple codes. 287D-Vanos inlet Actuator Movement, 276A-Catalytic converter conversion, 2AC2- Oxygen sensor Before CAT Plausibility, 274D Fuel mixture adaptation lower engine speed range, 2AC1- Oxygen sensor Before CAT, Plausibility. For the Catalytic converter codes, will need to have a catalytic converter replaced. Found that the vehicle was low on oil. After topping the oil off and clearing codes, performed another test drive and found that the vehicle did not have a hesitation in it anymore. Found a oil leak at the vacuum pump gasket. Recommend replacing vacuum pump gasket, degreasing engine and test driving the vehicle after repair and checking for other leaks. If no other leaks are found, and the vehicle is low on oil before the next service interval is due , would recommend starting a oil consumption test to check for oil consumption, if oil consumption is excessive, engine replacement may be required. If codes return for the vanos solenoids and the oil is at the proper level, further diagnostics on the vanos solenoids would need to be done and/ or replaced. If catalytic converter codes return, catalytic converter will need to be replaced to clear the cat. codes.
- Remove and replace vacuum pump gasket,
- Perform OLF, lube and grease chassis/suspension system, check all fluid levels, check tire air pressure, inspect air filters, perform visual inspection.
